Lao Cai provincial Leaders attend the National Achievements Exhibition Celebrating the 80th Anniversary of National Day
LCP – On the morning of August 28, 2025, at the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi), the National Achievements Exhibition celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) officially opened under the theme “80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness.”
Attending the opening ceremony were General Secretary To Lam; former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; former Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; former National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; along with incumbent and former leaders of the Party and State, leaders of ministries, central agencies, localities, and representatives of enterprises.
The Lao Cai provincial delegation was led by Mr. Tran Huy Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and Ms. Vu Thi Hien Hanh, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee, together with leaders of several provincial departments and agencies.
The National Achievements Exhibition is the largest ever held, with the participation of 28 ministries and central agencies, 34 provinces and cities, and more than 110 major enterprises and economic groups, featuring over 230 exhibition booths across the entire premises of the Exhibition Center.
The exhibition presents achievements in nearly 180 fields, ranging from industry, agriculture, trade, science and technology to culture, education, healthcare, national defense, security, and foreign affairs.
Covering almost 260,000 m² of indoor and outdoor space, the exhibition is organized in an open, multi-layered format with three main zones:
Overview Zone at the Kim Quy Exhibition Hall under the theme “Vietnam - Journey to a New Era”, showcasing 80 years of nation-building and development; Vietnamese culture and people; the identities of 54 ethnic groups; resources and specialties from across the country; and outstanding architectural works. Special thematic spaces include “95 years of the Party’s Flag leading the way”, “Prosperous Provinces, Strong Nation,” and achievements of the business community.
Outdoor Zone at the West, South, and East grounds under the theme “Integration and Development”, highlighting green industries, digital transformation, national defense and security with the theme “The Sword and the Shield,” aerospace with “Aspiration for the Sky,” alongside cultural performances, tourism, and cuisine.
International Zone and 12 cultural industries at Hall A, with the theme “Integration and Creativity,” display distinctive works and products, and the space “Vietnam and the World.”
Modern technologies such as 3D mapping, virtual reality, multimedia, and artificial intelligence are applied to provide visitors with engaging, interactive experiences while evoking pride and inspiration about Vietnam’s resilient journey of development.
The exhibition is expected to become a major cultural highlight, attracting a large number of domestic and international visitors.

Lao Cai province contributes more than 300 photos and artifacts, presented under three main themes:
“Lao Cai – Land and People”: showcasing history, magnificent natural landscapes, and the unique cultural identity of the borderland.
“Socio-economic Achievements”: highlighting milestones throughout 80 years of construction and development.
“Lao Cai - Aspiration to Reach Further”: presenting projects, plans, and development orientations for the future.
The exhibition space is designed with a consistent layout, reflecting Lao Cai as a land where nature and people converge, where rivers, mountains, and cultural identity harmonize. A highlight is the interactive 3D mapping model at the center, allowing visitors to explore content themselves. Light, sound, and 3D effects are also used to create a lively and accessible experience for all ages.

In addition, the OCOP section introduces agricultural and handicraft products; while a performance stage features traditional craft demonstrations such as drum making, khen (panpipe) crafting, weaving, and brocade embroidery, with the participation of 39 artisans performing folk songs, dances, and traditional crafts.
The exhibition is open free of charge to the public and international visitors from August 28 to September 5, 2025.
